Edward Chisolm

Edward Chisolm is an author, nonprofit executive, consultant, and Christian educator with more than three decades of experience advocating for children, youth, and families. A former Annie E. Casey Foundation Fellow, his work spans nonprofit management, early childhood development, community leadership, and organizational capacity building. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Talladega College and a master’s degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University. He also served six years in the United States Army as a Medical Specialist, earning the Expert Field Medical Badge.

 

As founder of EC Consulting Services, LLC, Edward helps organizations strengthen their leadership and impact through strategic planning, board governance, organizational development, fund development, and leadership coaching. Faith is central to his life and service. A certified Christian Education instructor, he has served Second Arnold Missionary Baptist Church as Ministry President, Sunday School Teacher, and Sunday School Superintendent, teaching courses that connect biblical understanding with everyday life and community concerns.

Edward’s writing explores faith, manhood, family, personal growth, and the lived experiences of Black men. His published works include 40 Daily Thoughts for the Christian Soldier, Volumes 1 and 2; 23 Daily Thoughts for the Young Christian Soldier; From the Diary of a Black Man’s Mind; Manna All Day; and the children’s book They Call Me Mr. A proud father of two adult children, Corey and Michelle, Edward remains committed to leaving people, organizations, and communities stronger through his leadership, teaching, and service.
