We are a nonprofit member association serving as a think tank to promote conversation and activities on ideas, issues, and policies toward social, economic, and political growth for people of African descent in the Diaspora and Africa and her people’s well-being.
Our mission is to foster the welfare of Africa and Africans wherever they reside and to facilitate a genuine development of the continent through an appreciation of African ideals and intercultural dialogue.
Key to DPAC is the facilitation of discourse that promotes the exchange of ideas, interaction, learning, and building relationships that affirm African values, progress, and general development.
The center promotes sustained educational programs that decolonize mindsets that have marginalized African knowledge and ways of life, empower, and promote policy engagements that highlight African ideals, and help Africans appreciate their history, culture, and role in world development.
To facilitate the design and sustenance of these ideals amongst the Africans in the diaspora and beyond. The ideas generated in the center will contribute to policy formation, policy analysis, and policy advocacy around social, economic, political, religious, gender, environmental, education legal, and other cultural issues.
To foster dialogue and collaboration between Africa and the Diaspora, the center invites other similar-minded organizations to collaborate towards promoting Africa as a Global Community.
We seek to implement our objectives through various working groups, including hosting discussions, webinars, and conferences, and initiating projects that contribute to our objectives. Diaspora Pan-Africanism Center will promote ideas and the missions of various commissions by disseminating suggested policy developments through publications. Suggested working commissions will include the following:
